Job summary

Ilocatum in Kansas seeks a licensed psychologist to develop and implement comprehensive psychological services within a correctional setting. You will conduct assessments, create and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address inmate mental health needs.

The role requires a valid state license, onsite work, and compliance with OFCCP/EEOC regulations; a signing bonus may be offered in negotiations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license.
• Experience in clinical or correctional settings is desirable.
• Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and examination of available records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient needs and functioning.
• Perform regular rounds in various housing areas to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health requirements.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and interventions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and deliver crisis intervention strategies to support inmates in distress.
• Engage in consultations with staff across various departments to gain insights into behavioral issues and mental health changes among inmates.
