Job summary

Summit is seeking a motivated Food Service Director to lead a corrections-focused dining program in Texas. You will supervise staff, manage resources, and ensure meals are served safely and on time.

Responsibilities include budgeting, hiring, training, and coordinating with district management to meet service targets. A strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with both hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment with strong focus on client satisfaction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead and train the team, including hiring and onboarding.
• Ensure culinary, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
• Budget and purchase ingredients to meet targets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with district management on dining service as needed.
