Job summary

Summit is seeking a motivated food service director to lead the corrections dining program in the Golden/Blackhawk, CO area. You will oversee meal production and service to ensure reliable, high-quality meals for inmates.

Responsibilities include managing all functions of the food service department, hiring and training staff, enforcing culinary, safety, and sanitation standards, budgeting, and coordinating with the district manager on dining service operations.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills with hourly staff and company executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.
• ServSafe and/or HACCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Budget the department, including purchasing ingredients and meeting targets.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding dining service.
