Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Controls Integration Engineer to lead on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material handling systems in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on hands-on bring-up of IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks, with responsibility for system integration and turnover to operations.

You will coordinate with system integrators and technicians, validate equipment against design specs, and ensure safety and quality standards during installation.

Qualifications

• Experience with networking fundamentals and equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site work.
• Hands-on experience with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, EtherCAT, or Modbus TCP.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, IPCs and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site commissioning of sorters and conveyors.
• Configure and validate IPCs, PLCs, HMIs per project standards.
• Conduct network validation and I/O checkouts.
• Lead technical direction for technicians during deployment.
• Document issues and support continuous improvement.
