Job summary

Amazon is seeking an early-career Controls Integration Engineer to support on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material handling equipment. This hands-on role partners with Sr. engineers to bring up IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks during installation and startup.

You will develop field commissioning expertise, gain mentorship, and progressively own commissioning tasks and subsystems while contributing to safe, reliable operations at customer sites.

Qualifications

Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
Experience programming with Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
Experience with Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

Support on-site commissioning activities for sorters, conveyors, and automated work cells under the direction of senior engineers.
Assist with provisioning, configuring, and validating Linux-based IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and field devices per project standards.
Perform I/O checkouts, point-to-point wiring verification, and device-level validation.
Execute defined commissioning and test procedures, documenting results and flagging deviations.
Support dry runs, functional testing, and integrated system testing during startup phases.
