Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Controls Integration Engineer to support on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material handling equipment. This hands-on role partners with senior engineers to bring up IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, and field devices during installation and commissioning, developing field expertise.

Ideal candidates are early-career engineers with a solid foundation in controls and industrial automation, who will receive mentorship while progressively taking ownership of

Qualifications

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning activities for sorters, conveyors, and automated work cells under the direction of senior engineers.
• Assist with provisioning, configuring, and validating Linux-based IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and field devices per project standards.
• Troubleshoot device-level and subsystem issues including sensor faults and communication errors.
• Coordinate with technicians and contractors during installation and commissioning while following safety and quality standards.
• Document issues, resolutions, and lessons learned to support team knowledge sharing.
• Actively develop PLC programming, industrial networking, and commissioning methodology.
