Job summary

IntePros in Smithfield, Utah is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead electrical and automation system design, optimization, and reliability in a highly automated manufacturing environment.

This onsite role in Smithfield offers a comprehensive relocation package, including a $10,000 relocation bonus for candidates relocating more than 50 miles, and requires authorisation to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial controls engineering, electrical system design, automation programming, and capital projects.
• Strong experience with PLC programming, industrial automation systems, and electrical power distribution.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, especially Ignition (Vision and Perspective).
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards; ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience developing automation solutions using scripting, HMI, SCADA, and database technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Lead electrical and automation projects from concept through commissioning, managing scope, budget, and schedule.
• Identify and implement controls optimization initiatives to improve uptime, throughput, and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and engineering teams.
