Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking on-site contract interpreters in the Cincinnati, OH area to provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken languages. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and All Spoken Languages.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages.
• Successful completion of applicable language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience where required by client standards.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Ability to satisfy health and immunization requirements where applicable.
• Background, security, fingerprinting, and/or drug screening may be required.
• Agreement to confidentiality and ethics requirements.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Relevant interpreter training, credentials, or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client requirements relating to ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and participants.
• Maintain language proficiency, terminology, and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
