Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Elyria, OH is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader for an onsite role within the SEF team. You will direct activities, collaborate with EHS, ensure OSHA compliance, and optimize utilization of personnel and equipment to meet plant standards.

You will develop budgets and mentor direct reports, coordinate large and multiple projects, participate in employee involvement, and work across sites to improve safety, quality, and profitability across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management or engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, safety and quality practices.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Lean principles experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

• Directs, administers, and coordinates activities to meet organizational goals.
• Collaborates with EHS to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Optimizes use of personnel and equipment.
• Ensures production aligns with plant standards and explains variances.
• Develops budgets to meet financial goals.
• Provides mentorship and performance feedback to direct reports.
• Coordinates large and multiple projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Participates in employee involvement activities.
• Oversees manufacturing activities including maintenance of facility.
• Partners with Engineer, EHS, Quality on safety, equipment, and processes.
• Agility to work across multiple sites.
