Job summary

Atlas Connections is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee all safety initiatives on a large-scale construction project. This role ensures compliance with safety standards across project teams, employees, and subcontractors while providing leadership to on-site safety personnel.

The Safety Manager promotes a proactive safety culture, identifies hazards, and implements preventive measures throughout all construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of construction safety management experience.
• BCSP credential preferred.
• OSHA-authorized instructor certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant industry experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead project safety initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure subcontractors meet safety documentation and compliance standards.
• Monitor adherence to safety plans, OSHA regulations, and client requirements.
• Maintain safety records and documentation; identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk mitigation actions with project leadership.
• Deliver safety training to employees, subcontractors, and project teams; mentor on-site personnel.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases.
