Pogue Construction is seeking a Safety professional to lead site safety programs on commercial building projects in Texas. You will conduct audits, enforce safe practices, and coordinate with subcontractors to address hazards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Ability to identify potential exposures and drive corrective action.
• Proficient with MS Office suite programs.
• Proven management, leadership, and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits and issue reports; require corrective action from subcontractors.
• Stop work if there is an immediate danger to life or health on a project.
• Collaborate with Safety Director to implement policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership for assigned projects and build relationships with project staff.
• Serve as site Safety Professional and on-site resource for safety questions and improvements.
• Develop partnerships with Subcontractor Safety Reps to ensure compliance.
• Investigate and resolve field safety issues; communicate with staff and subcontractors.
• Enforce safe work practices in line with regulations and contractual requirements.
• Educate staff on safety guidelines and policies; conduct trainings and meetings.
