Job summary

Stantec in Memphis, TN, is seeking a full-time Construction CQA Field Inspector to support a large-scale earthwork project. You will perform on-site observations, document testing, track progress, and ensure conformance with design documents and contract requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma with 5+ years of field experience preferred, and the ability to work weekends and outdoors. Travel and HSSE training may be required; strong communication and documentation skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site safety representative and maintain a safe working environment.
• Liaise between engineer, Client, and Contractor for day-to-day field activities.
• Monitor earthwork, mass grading, and civil construction for conformance to designs.
• Oversee testing and maintain documentation per quality management plans.
• Document progress, RFIs, submittals, and non-conformance reports.
• Attend project field meetings and support progress/certification reporting.
