Job summary

Actalent in Pearl City, Hawaii is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate with the Operations Team, manage submittals, schedule, safety, and budgets while providing clear leadership to project teams.

This on-site role requires strong communication, blueprint reading, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive projects to on-time, within-cost completion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with Operations Team on goals and resources.
• Provide updates to Operations Manager on project and staff issues.
• Oversee turnover from estimating to project team; clarify scope and budget.
• Review work plans and submittals for specs and regulatory compliance.
• Submit DOH notifications as required.
• Represent project team at pre-construction meetings.
• Arrange site access, parking, and logistics for crews.
• Lead on-site meetings; ensure plans and submittals are available.
• Prepare start-up sheets for materials and equipment.
• Coordinate passes, travel, waste disposal, testing, subcontractors.
• Inspect each active project weekly for progress and compliance.
• Verify containment, equipment readiness, and abatement procedures.
• Assess productivity; address schedule or budget issues.
• Coordinate with Safety Director for site inspections.
• Resolve jobsite issues promptly to protect timelines.
• Analyze resource usage to optimize efficiency.
• Review daily reports and timesheets with Project Coordinator.
• Ensure profitability and on-time completion.
• Project costs and profits; monitor financial performance.
• Provide regular progress reports to Operations Manager.
• Identify change order opportunities and pursue additional revenue.
• Oversee quality, safety, productivity across projects.
• Work with Contract Administrator on progress billing.
• Review and verify close-out items.
• Assist Project Coordinator with missing information.
