Onsite Construction Manager / Superintendent

Reports To: Project Manager / Director of Construction

Experience Level: 5-10 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onsite Construction Manager / Superintendent to oversee and manage day-to-day operations on active construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supervising projects from ground-up through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are strictly maintained. This individual will coordinate subcontractors, manage site staff, and serve as the point of contact for field-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead onsite construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
2. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel.
3. Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
4. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
5. Schedule inspections, track progress, and maintain accurate daily reports/logs.
6. Conduct regular site meetings to monitor progress, address concerns, and drive resolutions.
7. Collaborate with project managers to manage change orders and resolve field-related issues.
8. Monitor material deliveries and manage inventory to avoid delays.
9. Ensure quality control procedures are followed and high standards are maintained.
10. Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and local officials.

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience in construction management or as a superintendent, preferably in commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and meet aggressive timelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver license and willingness to travel locally to job sites.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering.
