Job summary

MSTI is seeking a Construction Manager for onsite work in Oak Ridge, TN, to oversee construction activities, ensure safety culture, and align work with scope, schedule, and budget.

The role requires coordinating with Project Managers, Procurement, contractors, and site personnel, and supporting SOW/RFP development and contractor evaluations. U.S. citizenship and DOE-related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Relevant experience managing construction projects in industrial, commercial, government, or DOE environments preferred.
• Commitment to construction safety and strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
• Support project planning, needs assessments, and evaluation of construction approaches.
• Maintain and oversee detailed construction schedules.
• Provide construction support throughout project lifecycle.
• Guide and execute projects with Project Managers.
• Assist in development of SOWs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Evaluate bids and support contractor selection.
• Direct Construction Coordinators and field staff.
• Serve as primary contact for contractors.
• Lead pre-construction and status meetings and safety meetings.
• Monitor performance for quality and safety.
