Job summary

Cordoba Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a flagship education facility project in Long Beach, CA. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk, and coordinate with AHJs and contractors to deliver a $60M facility and related campus projects on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes field leadership, safety compliance, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders, with 100% onsite work as described.

Qualifications

• 15 years’ experience in Educational, DSA, Commercial, Healthcare, or Public Works projects.
• PM/CM background with strong emphasis in the construction phase.
• Capable of managing projects from inception to closeout.
• Must have outstanding negotiations, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with field construction management and changes in the work.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar PMIS.
• Knowledge of Building Codes and Regulations for safety and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills for multiple simultaneous projects.
• Problem-solving skills to address issues during construction.

Responsibilities

• Scope Management: Manage district programming scope and requirements.
• Schedule Management: Oversee project schedule throughout life cycle.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets within guidelines.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Contract Management: Review and negotiate terms with clients and vendors.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure work complies with plans and standards.
• Team Coordination: Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and specialists.
• Safety Oversight: Enforce district safety protocols.
• Oversee owner's representative processes during construction and closeout for the $60M project.
• Handle financial, reporting, communications, operations, and admin needs of assigned projects.
