Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager Intern to join our on-site team working on aviation and/or road and bridge construction projects. You will assist with inspections, review construction documents, and produce daily/weekly reports as you learn from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering or construction management degree (or related field).
• Have a general interest in construction management / inspection.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an industry leading construction management team.
• Assist construction managers with inspections of construction projects and materials for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and approved plans.
• Gain real-world experience by working on actual projects alongside experienced inspectors and construction managers.
• Assist on a variety of projects spanning clients and disciplines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external subs and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems alongside the construction management team.
• Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Assist with quality control reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Review and interpret construction documents, site drawings, as-built drawings, and specifications.
• Produce daily and weekly reports.
• Work with technology including materials testing, drones, pavement profilograph, surveying, pipe inspections and pavement marking reflectometer testing.
