Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager Intern to work on-site with the construction management team on aviation and road/bridge projects. Projects may include bridge overlays, highway paving, runway construction, electrical work, or subgrade stabilization.

Open to students in TX and other states; visa sponsorship is not provided. You will gain real-world experience through inspections, documentation, and collaboration with clients and subs.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering or construction management degree (or related field).
• Have a general interest in construction management / inspection.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an industry leading construction management team.
• Assist construction managers with inspections of construction projects and materials for compliance with codes and plans.
• Gain real-world experience by working on actual projects alongside experienced inspectors and construction managers.
• Assist on a variety of projects spanning clients and disciplines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external subs and clients.
• Review and interpret construction documents, site drawings, and specifications.
• Produce daily and weekly reports.
• Explore technologies like drones and surveying tools during project tasks.
