Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead onsite field operations on diverse Connecticut projects from mobilization to completion. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control across commercial, healthcare, institutional, municipal, and housing projects.

Based in Bridgeport, CT, this onsite position offers growth into senior leadership within a stable, expanding firm.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction superintendent experience on commercial, healthcare, or municipal projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and enforce OSHA safety standards.
• Strong reading of blueprints, specs, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities and oversee field operations for ground-up and renovation projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure workflow.
• Maintain project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and quality control.
• Review drawings and specifications to guide field operations.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Lead on-site teams with accountability and safety focus.
• Ensure projects, including >$5 million, meet schedule and budget.
