Job summary

Actalent in Worcester, MA, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead all on-site activities for commercial projects. You will coordinate with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in construction leadership and a Massachusetts CSL, with proficiency in Procore and related CM software. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity in Worcester.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or in a similar construction leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction and construction management.
• Massachusetts CSL (Construction Supervisor License) required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Solid knowledge of construction safety practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify quality and safety.
• Monitor milestones, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors to review progress.
• Serve as the primary field representative and maintain relationships with clients.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals to ensure accurate execution.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
• Oversee site logistics, manpower, material deliveries, and equipment utilization.
• Enforce safety standards and manage punch lists and turnover documentation.
