Job summary

BB Living is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to oversee on-site trades, assist in scheduling, and ensure compliance with project timelines, budget, and quality. The role partners with the Project Lead to coordinate activities, manage subcontractors, and oversee safety on site.

The ideal candidate will read plans, coordinate multiple activities, and maintain accurate daily reports while supporting a fast-paced construction program.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of reading and understanding plans and specifications.
• Should be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with delays.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities at once.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate and support the creation of project schedules, budgets, scopes of work.
• Coordinate weekly schedule meetings with subcontractor foremen and document requirements.
• Walk, inspect, and produce punch lists for areas of work with minimum twice daily checks.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety standards, and quality.
• Notify project team of issues and implement corrective plans to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Document daily job reporting including manpower, weather, activities, and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, professional jobsite and office space on site.
• Initiate RFIs to address plan interpretations and missing information.
• Coordinate inspections with local and state officials and stakeholders.
• Maintain project files with submittals, RFIs, drawings, and logs.
