Orion Hidden Careers is seeking an Accountant to support financial reporting and month-end close in our Houston, TX location. You will prepare analyses for construction projects, ensure ASC 842 lease treatment and ASC 606 revenue recognition, and assist with quarterly SEC filings and audits. Requirements include a B.S.

in Accounting with 4+ years in accounting, proficiency with MS Excel, MS Dynamics, and MS Access. MBA or CPA are not required but desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in all accounting functions with emphasis in month-end and quarter-end close.
• Proficient in MS Access, Excel and MS Dynamics or other similar database software.
• MBA and/or CPA are not required but are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to and complies with requests of Accounting leadership.
• Ensures lease transactions are recorded accurately under ASC 842 and revenue under ASC 606 with documentation.
• Supports month-end and year-end closing processes and generates financial reports.
• Performs general ledger analysis and reconciliations.
• Assists with audits and SOX compliance.
