Brayman Construction Corporation seeks a Laboratory Manager to oversee onsite concrete and materials testing operations for a major bridge/lock project in Monaca, PA. Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in concrete, aggregate, or construction materials laboratory testing.
• Supervisory or laboratory management experience preferred.
• Experience on large civil infrastructure projects (dam, bridge, DOT) preferred.
• Must hold ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I.
• Must hold ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
• Must hold ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1.
• Must hold ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1 and Level 2.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the onsite concrete and materials testing laboratory.
• Manage quality control testing for concrete production and placement.
• Supervise concrete cylinder casting, curing, handling, and compression testing.
• Direct aggregate sample preparation and testing.
• Maintain laboratory quality systems, logs, certifications, and reporting.
• Coordinate testing with batch plant operations, field crews, inspectors, and management.
• Manage lab equipment maintenance, calibration, and certification records.
• Review and validate test results and QC reports.
• Train and supervise laboratory personnel and field testers.
• Support project audits, inspections, and quality investigations.
• Enforce safety standards and best practices in lab operations.

Education

ACI certifications (Grade I, Concrete Strength Testing, Aggregate Testing Level 1, Concrete Laboratory Level 1, 2)
