Job Overview

Brayman Construction Corporation seeks a qualified Quality Control Technician for the $769.9 million Montgomery Locks and Dam project in Monaca, PA. The project involves removal of the existing lock chamber, construction of a new 110 ft × 600 ft primary lock chamber, cofferdam installation, and dry construction of monoliths. Deconstruction of the existing auxiliary lock chamber will begin Spring 2025 with projected completion in 2030. This major infrastructure initiative is part of the Upper Ohio Navigation Project, enhancing safe and efficient navigation along the Ohio River.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in project safety programs
• Assist Project QC Staff and Project Supervision
• Assist with field testing and documentation across construction disciplines such as concrete, soils, welding, and maintenance of traffic
• Perform quality control testing and reporting
• Work toward obtaining testing certifications
• Effectively communicate with the project owner(s)
• Represent the company with owner inspectors
• Travel to job sites as required
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience

• ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
• Experience in the construction industry
• Completion of at least one internship with a heavy civil, foundation, or steel erection contractor or equivalent work experience
• Experience in inspection and testing of various construction disciplines such as concrete, soils, welding, or maintenance of traffic
