Job summary

NRP is seeking an experienced Onsite Community Manager to oversee daily operations of a community association in the Herndon area. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage relationships with the Board, homeowners, vendors, and corporate staff.

The Onsite Community Manager will serve as the primary contact for the association, ensure smooth operations, enforce governing documents, and support the Board in achieving short- and long-term

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of community association management experience preferred.
• Professional designations such as CMCA, AMS, or PCAM are preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the association, including supervision of onsite staff and vendors.
• Serve as primary liaison between the Board, homeowners, committee members, vendors, and corporate staff.
• Communicate with the Board regarding community matters, updates, and projects.
• Enforce governing documents, rules, and regulations.
• Conduct routine property inspections for maintenance and compliance.
• Respond to homeowner inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Manage after-hours emergency calls as needed.
• Prepare meeting notices, agendas, and board packets on schedule.
• Attend Board and Association meetings as required by the management agreement.
• Provide operational guidance and recommendations to the Board.
• Prepare RFPs and obtain vendor bids for projects and services.
• Ensure accuracy of owner and unit/lot records.
• Support annual budget preparation and reserve updates.
• Review expenditures and obtain Board approvals when required.
• Balance short- and long-term priorities to advance community goals.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to support client retention and operations.
• Represent NRP at industry events and community association functions.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and standards.
