Dover Corporation is seeking a CNC Machinist A for our Lynchburg, Virginia facility. You will set up and operate CNC machines, including 5-axis mills, to produce parts per prints and instructions.

Responsibilities include selecting speeds/feeds, maintaining tight tolerances, reading layouts, and preparing for subsequent runs. Requires standing long hours and crane use; competitive pay and comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate CNC machines per work instructions with tight tolerances.
• Proficient in selecting speeds/feeds and cutting tools.
• Ability to program and run multiple CNC equipment including 5-axis mills.

Responsibilities

• Select cutting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut per instructions.
• Machine to tolerances as close as +/- 0.0003 inch.
• Lay out references on parts, read prints, and prep for next runs.
• Run at least 3 different CNC machines (lathe, horiz mill, vert mill).
• Maintain safe crane/production operations and lifting practices.

With over 300 employees across seven locations worldwide, Belvac is able to support customers in real time in over 150+ countries.**General Function**: Set up and operate numerically controlled machines to perform series of machining operations, such as turning, milling, boring, threading and facing on parts according to work instructions and procedures to assure Belvac's quality of work is upheld.**Physical Requirements**:· Requires long periods of standing (up to 10 hours/day)· Must be able to operate overhead cranes· Although all production areas have overhead cranes, on occasion Manufacturing, Stockroom and Assembly employees may choose to lift items by hand for convenience.
