Quest Global in Fairfield, CA is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator to develop, run, and troubleshoot CMM programs for tight-tolerance aerospace components.

You will write inspection programs from CAD, set up fixtures, calibrate probes, perform first-article and in-process checks, and generate quality reports. Qualifications include a high school diploma or technical degree, 2–5+ years CMM experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with CMM Manager or Calypso.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/associate degree in a manufacturing or quality field.
• 2–5+ years of hands-on CMM experience in aerospace/defense/high-tolerance manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CMM Manager or Calypso metrology software.
• Strong GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading knowledge.
• Ability to explain inspection data to production, machining, and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Write and update inspection programs from 3D CAD models and blueprints using CMM Manager 2024 software.
• Create, debug, and optimize measurement routines for complex parts.
• Set up fixtures, calibrate probes, and run parts on the CMM.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final part checks.
• Analyze data, record results, and flag out-of-tolerance non-conformances.
• Work with machinists and engineers to fix quality issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and generate formal quality reports.
• Interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards to verify aerospace compliance.
