Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise service delivering software security solutions across customer enclaves. The role focuses on cloud-based platforms using microservices and containers to enable secure, scalable operations in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

You will design, develop, and sustain enterprise software capabilities across the DoD landscape, collaborating with cross-agency stakeholders to ensure robust, secure software delivery

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required
• No degree required; 8+ years of relevant experience required
• Minimum 8 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience across the software development lifecycle including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance
• DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher)
• One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, CKAD, Elastic Certified Engineer
• Proof of certifications required during screening or offer process

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions
• Support full lifecycle software engineering including design, integration, testing, and sustainment
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues
• Support system enhancements, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
• Collaborate with team members to review and refine software components
• Assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope
