Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Advanced Information Technologist – Mid-Level Cloud Engineer for the Digital Infrastructure Segment in Saint Louis, MO. The role focuses on migrating applications to the cloud, integrating with edge compute, and ensuring secure, scalable cloud operations.

The position is 100% onsite in Hazelwood/Hazelwood-area facilities and requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Public Cloud Platforms.
• 1+ years of experience with DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Deployment & Integration: Orchestrate the installation and configuration of complex COTS packages on a cloud platform and optimize edge compute integration.
• Application Migration: Collaborate with subcontracted cloud teams, Boeing IT and application engineers to migrate on-prem apps to the cloud.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to provision compute, storage, and networking for COTS vendors.
• Vendor & License Management: Work with ISVs to validate architecture, manage licenses, and ensure internet egress for license checks complies with security firewalls.
• Environment Standardization: Maintain consistency across dev, test, and production environments to prevent configuration drift.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize cloud resources to meet vendor-specified performance benchmarks.
