Job summary

IntelliPro seeks a Civil Engineer III for a long-term Chesapeake, VA project. The role leads design reviews, manages permitting, and provides construction oversight across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in civil engineering, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Onsite schedule is 40–50 hours weekly with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering activities on complex infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design reviews, permitting, and construction support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design reviews for multiple active projects.
• Manage local, state, and federal permitting activities from initiation through approval.
• Review RFIs, submittals, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Provide engineering oversight during construction activities.
• Ensure engineering designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify technical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Improve engineering processes and implement best practices.
