Job summary

Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a Chicago-based company seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $150,000 per year, based on experience.

The ideal candidate will be a state-licensed PE with deep consulting experience in drainage design, site-civil work, and underground utilities, capable of setting design standards and stamping final plans using MicroStation and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active PE license required or candidate with PE-eligibility.
• Extensive consulting-side civil/drainage experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, time-management and analytical skills.
• Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop project budgets and cost estimates for civil/drainage work.
• Serve as primary technical contact with clients on projects.
• Oversee project execution to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Ensure safety and code compliance in designs.
• Prepare client-facing reports and deliverables.
• Review work produced by team for completeness and accuracy.
• Support broader design and construction management efforts as needed.
