LHH is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract-to-hire role in Chicago. The position emphasizes general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Professional services experience is preferred but not required.

The role is fully onsite with a conversion salary around $90K and a contract rate of $40–$45/hr, starting October 2026. This is ideal for an accounting professional ready to grow into a permanent position.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries to the general ledger.
• Perform month-end close activities within established deadlines.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues.
• Assist with annual financial audits and tax compliance.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
