Zusammenfassung

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) to support patient and family visits by gathering histories, taking vitals, and performing cardiac diagnostic procedures. You will help with equipment setup, data reporting, and keep clinical spaces organized across Heart Center locations.

Responsibilities include performing EKGs, Holter/loop monitors, stress tests, and ensure proper operation of testing equipment.

Qualifikationen

• Requires an Associate's degree in health care or related field.
• BLS certification is required; EKG technician certification preferred and required after 1 year of employment.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Collect vitals and patient histories and perform cardiac tests (EKG, Holter, loop/event monitors, CPET, tilt table, stress tests).
• Prepare, scan, and maintain holter/event monitor kits and databases.
• Clean and restock EKG rooms and exam spaces between patients and daily.
• Educate patients and families on testing procedures and follow cardiologist orders.
• Perform EKGs and inpatient testing as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiac testing equipment; escalate issues as needed.
• Generate/submitting test reports and data for physician interpretation.
• Maintain safe environment adhering to safety/infection control standards.
• Provide administrative support and assist with quality improvement and inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ausbildung

Associate's degree in health care or related field

5 years healthcare experience or 2 years in clinical cardiac role
