Job summary

Must have four years of related experience with a high school diploma or GED; preferred is an electrical Systems credential. A Journeyman Electrician Registration is required by Birmingham authorities. Onsite work with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED with four years of related electrical experience.
• Preferred: associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Systems or related field.
• Must be licensed with Journeyman Electrician Registration from the City of Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled electrical work to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot campus systems.
• Follow codes, safety standards, and university procedures for reliable operation.
• Maintain lighting, power distribution, and control systems across campus buildings.
• Assist with general to skilled maintenance including plumbing and mechanical tasks as needed.
