Job summary

Omninet Capital, LLC is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems within our Monterey Park facility. You will support safety programs, document activities, and collaborate with engineering staff to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires at least two years in building operations, a high school diploma, and knowledge of codes and energy management.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in building operations and maintenance (min 2 years in a Building Engineering role).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independence in work.
• Effective communication with team members and management.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and urgent repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assist in preventive maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Monitor energy usage and support energy-saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes.
• Assist in installing new equipment and systems.
• Provide hands-on training and collaboration with engineering staff.
• Record data in building logbooks and daily entries as required.
• Contribute to a collaborative and high-quality service environment.
• Adhere to Omninet policies and safety programs.
