Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Branch Controller to support the Corporate Finance team for Elite Comfort Solution branches in Maryland, Conover, and Verona.

This onsite role reports to the Corporate Finance team with primary location in Havre De Grace, MD and a secondary location in Conover, NC. You will own the P&L, manage month-end close, conduct inventory reconciliations, review capital expense projects, and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preference in manufacturing.
• Experience with Dynamics D365 preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Complete month end close for branches responsible for.
• Own the P&L and ensure everything is properly accounted for.
• Inventory reconciliation.
• Review standard vs actual gap and help branch management understand causes.
• Review statements with branch management.
• Capital expense project review and RAM system submission.
• Track project expenses and ensure timely closing of projects.
• Inventory valuation including landed costs of material, labor, and overhead.
• Segregation of duties review for branch employees.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Other tasks as determined by management.
