Job summary

Mid-State is seeking a Superintendent to oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities for industrial boiler projects in Lakeland, FL. The role includes safety management, logistics, scheduling, daily trade activities, documentation, meetings, compliance, and turnover.

The Superintendent will assist the Project Manager, maintain site knowledge with Subs/Suppliers, and ensure work aligns with project scope and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of relevant construction experience, preferably in Power Generation, industrial maintenance & construction.
• Proven experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Working knowledge of industrial boiler systems, pressure parts, boiler auxiliaries, and related repair practices.
• Ability to read and interpret boiler drawings, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, weld maps, and inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate boiler maintenance, outage, retrofit, and installation activities from mobilization through turnover.
• Provide field oversight for boiler-related work including tubes, headers, drums, piping, and burners.
• Coordinate outage planning, shutdowns, testing, startup support, and return-to-service activities.
• Review drawings, specs, P&IDs, welding procedures, and repair plans to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise welders, pipefitters, boilermakers, millwrights, subcontractors, inspectors, and other craft personnel.
