Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to support shipment receipt, storage, and retrieval of biological samples onsite in Houston. The role requires attention to detail, documentation, and compliance with SOPs for freezing, labeling, and shipping.

You will monitor freezers and temperatures, unpack and document incoming shipments, inventory samples, and prepare materials for QA and release. This is a full-time onsite position with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years’ of general working experience.
• Requires good attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Must be a flexible agile team player who can adapt to changing tasks and needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor freezers, refrigerators and room temperatures per SOP.
• Receive biological samples and document shipments.
• Store samples at correct temperatures and prepare paperwork.
• Quarantine raw materials for QA release and verify contents.
• Aliquot and inventory frozen samples with aseptic technique.
• Retrieve samples, QC outgoing shipments and update batch records.
• Ship samples by courier and ensure proper labeling and forms.
• Maintain knowledge of IATA regulations and certifications.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
