Job summary

Precision Medicine Group in Houston is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to assist in shipment and receipt, retrieval and preservation of biological samples, and to work onsite on a full-time schedule Tuesday through Saturday, 7am to 4pm. The role involves monitoring freezers, receiving samples, inventory, aliquoting, shipping, and ensuring QA/accuracy.

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years’ of general working experience.
Familiarity with excel and basic functions with the program.
Must be a flexible agile team player who can change activities and directions quickly and respond to a variety of assignment and changing business needs.

Responsibilities

Monitor freezers, refrigerator and room temperatures as assigned by Manager.
Receive biological samples and record information in Incoming Shipment Batch and folder.
Verify shipment contents against packing list and quarantine raw materials for QA release.
Aliquot frozen specimens using aseptic technique and update Outgoing Batch Record.
Ship samples by Commercial or local courier and complete required paperwork.
