Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day billing and follow-up for government and non-government accounts.
• Document claims billed, paid, settled, and follow-up in systems.
• Identify and escalate issues affecting billing accuracy.
• Contact payer directly for payment on accounts and respond to mail timely.
• Communicate with hospital departments to clarify billing discrepancies.
• Research claim rejections and take corrective actions.
• Follow up on delayed payments by contacting patients and third-party payers.
• Prepare special reports as directed by the Supervisor Billing and Follow-Up.
