Job summary

SERVPRO Team SPG is seeking a Billing/Collections Specialist to support the finance and accounts receivable team in Atlanta, GA. The role splits roughly 75% billing and 25% collections, handling invoices, AR records, and payment discrepancies.

In this in-person position, you’ll work with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, ensuring accurate billing and timely collections while supporting month-end close and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP/accounting system.
• Exposure to construction, restoration, field services, or insurance-claims billing.
• Must be able to work in person 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date accounts receivable records and documentation.
• Assist with reconciling accounts and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Provide database support and data entry as needed.
• Perform collections activities and follow up on past-due balances.
• Investigate customer payment disputes and coordinate with internal departments to resolve them.
• Maintain professional, customer-focused communication regarding outstanding balances.
• Document collection follow-ups and payment commitments.
• Post and reconcile incoming payments to customer accounts as needed.
• Support month-end close and routine financial reporting as needed.
• Assist the finance team with additional projects and administrative tasks as needed.
