Job summary

Palms Behavioral Health in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to work onsite under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the specific population preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Ensure wellbeing and provide a safe, supportive environment under supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration).
• Conduct safety checks and monitor patient supervision.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the clinical team.
• Chart in patient records timely and accurately.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist with restraints when necessary.
• Participate in patient education groups on social skills and coping strategies.
• Assist with incident reports and transportation as required.
