Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of practical experience with chemical, electrochemical, and/or battery cell testing.
• Master's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with battery analysis techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on analysis of automotive and battery materials using standard and custom test methods.
• Maintain analytical instrumentation and preventive maintenance.
• Author comprehensive reports detailing analytical results and findings.
• Establish timelines and project plans to meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert in chemical measurement.
• Apply data-driven problem solving to analyze lab data and recommend solutions.
• Adapt to changing project scopes and manage ambiguity.
• Evaluate and implement emerging analytical methods to improve capabilities.
• Follow GM safety practices and lab protocols.
• Work effectively both independently and in a team.
