Job summary

Role requires 2+ years in purchasing and strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with travel up to 10%. On-site position with competitive salary and relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, strategic sourcing, contract administration, financial/cost analysis, or commodity pricing.
• Travel up to 10% per year as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data.
• Self-motivated with initiative and follow-through.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• FAR/DFARS experience is preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard purchasing procedures within an assigned commodity to ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials.
• Interface as subcontract administrator for major systems and complex components in aircraft production, product upgrades, and new programs.
• Manage purchase orders, ensure competitive pricing, analyze inventory, qualify new suppliers, and negotiate long-term agreements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to drive cost reduction and improve affordability and quality of aircraft.
• Exercise discretionary latitude within approved purchasing procedures and ensure compliance for all contractual obligations with Bell Helicopter and the supplier.
• Provide supplier data to other functions and IBP management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
