Job summary

AVI-SPL is a digital enablement solutions provider delivering world-class AV support at customer sites. The Onsite Maintenance Technician partners with customers, management, and support teams to ensure technology works as designed and events run smoothly.

Responsibilities include setup/breakdown of conference spaces, preventative maintenance, cleaning AV equipment, client training, and safe site operations. Travel to multiple job sites and collaboration with internal teams are required.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Safe use of hand and power tools, including soldering & crimping connectors.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with industry software.
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred.

  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep spaces and tech functioning; test/repair hardware as needed.
  • Clean AV equipment including lenses, monitors, and fans.
  • Maintain site documentation and provide client training on AV technology.
  • Support tasks such as meeting support, installing non-complex components, and AV recording where applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams reflect AVI-SPL values.
  • Adhere to local safety standards for all site duties.
  • Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.
  • Travel to multiple job sites as required.

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
  • Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: ensuring that all technology works as designed and testing/repairing various hardware components
  • Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
  • Responsible for job site documentation and providing client training on the AV Technology as needed
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support where applicable
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL
  • Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties
  • Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems
  • Travel to various job sites as required
Items to Consider:
  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
  • This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred

    • Exton AV Associate Certification
