Job summary

Insight Global is seeking experienced Manufacturing Technicians to support hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of autonomous underwater vehicles at Quonset, RI. This onsite role offers 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift options and a pay range of $25-$37 per hour.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble electromechanical systems, install harnesses, troubleshoot, and collaborate with engineers to resolve manufacturing issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical, assembly, maintenance, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience assembling, maintaining, or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, technical documentation, and work instructions.
• Experience using standard hand and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on build quality and safety.
• Ability to work onsite in Quonset, Rhode Island.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate complex mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Install, route, and troubleshoot cables and wiring harnesses.
• Build equipment using engineering drawings, technical documentation, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and standard manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during vehicle assembly and testing.
• Fabricate or modify components as needed during builds.
• Build or modify jigs and fixtures used for assembly and testing.
• Work directly with engineers to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Support improvements to assembly procedures and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain organized tools, components, and manufacturing work areas.
• Potentially support field and offshore testing activities as needed.
