Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or Associate/technical degree with 3+ years hands-on automation experience.
• Experience in automation, robotics, machine building, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, field service, controls, or system integration.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, BOMs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and guide less-technical assembly resources.
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer-site installation, startup, and support.
• Bonus: Robot programming, PLC/IO troubleshooting, industrial networking, pneumatics, FAT/SAT, or commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Technical Build Review: Review BOMs, drawings, electrical documentation, software baselines, IO requirements, and FAT criteria.
• Lead assembly direction, inspect completed work, and ensure builds meet documentation and quality standards.
• Configure robot controllers, networks, IO, sensors, actuators, and perform IO verification.
• Commission released systems, diagnose integration issues, and determine root causes.
• Execute pre-FAT testing, support acceptance testing, document configurations and changes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce engineering intervention and improve efficiency.
