Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production, improve automation, and reduce labor hours at our Albuquerque facility. You will develop and maintain control systems, instrumentation, and robotics within a safety-focused environment.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, PLC programming, and hands-on experience with ABB robotics. You will collaborate across shifts and with multiple engineering disciplines to drive continuous improvements

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience with control systems, robotics, and automation.
Experience with ABB robotics preferred.
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to coordinate several projects.
Must be able to work across three shifts when necessary.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain control systems, instrumentation, and automation systems.
Evaluates new manufacturing and control technologies.
Adapting to specifications as appropriate.
Confirm controls system functionality, including appropriate safety compliance, by designing or executing test procedures.
Provide information to manufacturing, processes, and other engineering disciplines.
Keep equipment operating by performing periodic audits; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting supplies; defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans; implementing process improvements.
