Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience organizing and tracking inventory and maintaining records.
• Experience troubleshooting electronics, networking protocols, and low‑voltage circuits.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Ability to work independently within a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for DOE ARM mobile facilities.
• Travel to and support on-site, deployed field operations.
• Perform daily rounds to inspect, adjust, and clean instrumentation.
• Submit and respond to ARM maintenance and data quality reports.
• Respond to ARM email communications promptly.
• Submit weekly reports on instrument status, data quality, and inventory.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and critical items.
• Assist with shipping/receiving of equipment and consumables.
• Attend weekly site operations meetings and ARM all-hands meetings.
• Launch radiosondes according to the campaign schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work site.
• Occasionally serve as main contact for site visits and tours.
• Attend weekly LANL operations calls.
• Support demobilization activities at campaign end.
