Job summary

Collabera is seeking an Associate Scientist for an onsite role in South San Francisco, CA. You will perform routine biochemical and cell-based assays, maintain records, troubleshoot instrumentation, and communicate results to the team to support project milestones.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and 2+ years of lab experience, with preferred candidates holding a master's degree and experience with high-throughput instruments and data analysis tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
Experience following experimental protocols and documenting laboratory work.

Responsibilities

Execute routine biochemical and cell-based assays according to established protocols.
Prepare reagents, samples, and assay materials; operate high-throughput laboratory equipment and assay instruments.
Record, organize, and review experimental data, and communicate results and observations to the team.
Analyze assay data and contribute to summaries, presentations, and reports.
Identify and troubleshoot routine experimental or equipment issues, seeking guidance when needed.
Follow laboratory procedures for safety, documentation, and data quality.
Coordinate day-to-day assay materials and activities to support timely execution.
